Biography
Guy Dumas, full professor and graduate of Université Laval and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), is Director of the Laboratoire de Mécanique des Fluides Numérique (LMFN). Professor Dumas is renowned for his passion for teaching and rigorous research. The quality and success of his graduate students is one of his greatest prides. On the supercomputers of the Digital Research Alliance of Canada network, his group simulates vortex and turbulent flows to elucidate the complex physics of fluid-structure interactions and optimize renewable energy production systems.
